On Friday 16th September, 11 employees from our Chester office dedicated their time to ‘The Big Dee Day’, an annual September clean-up of the River Dee and Dee Estuary in Chester and North Wales, which saw over 200 local residents and people from businesses in Chester and Flintshire join forces to clear the area of unsightly litter.
Aktiv Kapital employees got their hands dirty as they were tasked with clearing the cycle path and grassy areas of litter near Cop Park on Sealand Road, racking up 13 bags of general waste and 7 bags of recyclable materials.
The Big Dee Day was a great opportunity for us all to get together to clean up our environment. There was a real sense of achievement seeing the transformation as we walked the 3.5 miles back along the litter free cycle path.
In all, over 120 bags of rubbish were collected by all volunteers.
