Cancer Research UK - Cancer Research UK is the world’s Leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Thanks to their ground breaking work more people are beating cancer than ever before.
Hospice of the good shepherd - The Hospice exists to provide highly specialised palliative care for people living with advanced diseases from the communities of Chester, Deeside, Ellesmere port and Rural Cheshire. Their services are provided free of charge to anyone in medical need. These include Medical, Nursing, Social and Emotional support for Patients and their families.
In 2011 we supported
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust - The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK's only national charity dealing with all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis. Raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust helps to fund research to treat and cure Cystic Fibrosis.
We raised £685
Whizz Kids - Whizz-Kidz is a charity that gives disabled children and young people in the UK the freedom and independence to live their lives to the full. They make a very powerful and dramatic difference to their lives, by providing customised mobility equipment like wheelchairs and tricycles, wheelchair training, advice and life skills, which gives them the independence to be themselves.
We raised £1,868
Breast Cancer Awareness Month - October 2011
Aktiv Kapital raised money for Breast Cancer Care so they can continue to support anyone affected by Breast Cancer.
We took part in various activities which included:
- Pink Friday - Wear something pink
- Raffle - Over 30 prizes including many donated by local shops
- Guess the flower and washing line games
- Muffins for sale
- Selling Breast Cancer pins
Across both sites we raised a fantastic £458.00
Red Nose Day – 18th March 2011
This year Aktiv Kapital UK took part in Red Nose Day, raising money to help transform lives across the UK and Africa.
Our employees took part in a number of activities such as:
- Dress down day - wearing something red
- Pick a Pose – from the red nose day fund raising kit
- The Red Raffle – a raffle consisting of all red prizes
- Who Knows Whose Nose – picture quiz
- A sponsored silence
- Cake bake and breakfast sale
Through great support and effort by our staff we raised a fantastic £431.00 across both sites.
In 2010 we supported
The Countess of Chester Hospital – Special Baby Care Unit and raised a fantastic £450 towards funding equipment, paying for refurbishments and improving the environment of the Special Baby Care Unit.
Demelza Hospice Care for Children and raised £1,252.24, of which a whopping £716.24 was raised by Customer Services alone. Customer Services spent £302 of their fund raising on Christmas presents for the children ranging from Games, DVD’s, Music and Electrical appliances.
